Description

Zazen, the "seated Zen meditation" makes sometimes use of strange sounding questions such as "what is the sound of only one clapping hand". In this the question is used as a tool for a deeper immersion in meditation.
The same purpose have these stones in the garden temple of Ryoan-ji, which contains 16 rocks, but you can see at most only 15 rocks, independently on your perspective.
