Relics Of Olden Times by Quit007
Relics Of Olden Times
The rune stone was (re)used as building material for the house and the canon placed later in 17th century to protect the corner of the house from coaches. The inscription says: "Torsten and Frögunn they (raised the) ... stone in memory of ... their son."

Forgive me the pun ;-)

That's the entrance to the tunnel of Eupalinos,
built in 6th century BC by the ingenious Eupalinos.

Samos South West 3D by Quit007
Samos South West 3D
A cross view on a section of Samos coast
Done from a boat by a single camera and optimized for rotation and shift of the boat due to the swell of the sea (Thats the reason why the image is tilted)

The image you see here is intended for parallel viewing. Of course you can save and swap the images (on your own computer). For some of you the image might be still too big to be seen when viewed in normal dispaly size. You could try to decrease its size by pressing "CTRL" + "-" in your browser (of course everything will be zoomed out then.)

And, if somebody should need it, I have files available for nvidias 3D Vision displays, ofcourse in much better resolution...

I am happy to announce that my first firefly movie is online and for all to see ;-) :
fav.me/d4m71fb

The opportunity arose Japan, as the fireflies were put free during a ceremony in a temple in Kyoto. Since the temple grounds were lit, i had a bright enough background for a movie.

Thanks for the info on the _Church Of St. Martin. From what I have read on it, there looks to be the foundations of a earlier Romanesque church of the 12th century there, It is from what I have read, the only remaining part of the 'Paist's caste that stood there. In World War 2, 80% of it was destroyed, and had to be rebuilt. There is allot of history in that building. nice

You're welcome!
For me romanesque architecture has feeling I don't know how to describe... :)
